The mission of Farther Along is to provide retired Christian Ministers, Christian Ministry workers or their widows with financial assistance for home remodeling, home repairs, moving expenses, vehicle repairs, vehicle maintenance, vehicle replacement, acquiring energy efficient heating or air-conditioning systems, purchasing energy efficient appliances, subsidizing utility bills and also assist them with unexpected living expenses.
There are those who have faithfully preached the Gospel and ministered to others for years. As they continue to be Kingdom builders, these same servants have moved farther along in life and have retired, become disabled or widowed.
Many served small or rural churches which paid only modest salaries. Now, some face the challenges of increased costs for housing, health care, vehicle maintenance, utilities, and unexpected living expenses. This can become financially burdensome for those on a fixed income.
It is the goal of the Farther Along to identify those same servants of God who are in need of assistance. The staff of Farther Along is seeking the help of churches, businesses and individuals to help us identify those individuals who are in need. Once a family or an individual is identified, Farther Along will seek to provide assistance to them.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
